Color Trends Fall 2009/Winter 2010

Posted Saturday, July 18, 2009

Im fondly thinking of autumn and sweaters here in the mountains. I thought you may like to see the color forecast for fashion. This information is courtesy of fashiontrendsetter.com. Enjoy!

Chic shades are inspired by digital prints and holograms. This trend is dominated by solid and cold tones. Midnight blues and earth tones as well as deep pink are opposing and in that way creating a world of playful patterns. The interaction of functional blues and structured browns open out onto turbulent explorations that burst forth in stormy alchemies.

The Classic world is characterized by diluted color effects. Clean and earthy colors play a big role in this section. In curious combinations they seem to be like an experiment. Brown and green tones mixed together create a hint of mystery in combination with gray and foggy shades.

Casual colors reflect the style of mixed technologies. Juicy orange tones, drunken scarlets and neutral nuances combine in a dangerous relation. The way how a dynamic brilliance and shining is created seems like a magic formula. Pavement grays brought together with dazzling lights are a contrast to passionate and theatrical tones.

Baby items - crochet

Posted Wednesday, June 17, 2009

Alright so this week I am in love with baby items that are crocheted.
And here is an artist with sooo many adorable things that I want to buy half her store, LOL. But, I still don't know if I am having boy or girl so I am ohhh so trying to be patient. LOL.

She has the cutest hats and the most adorable booties. There is literally just soo many things here that I get lost just looking at the first page, now that isn't a bad thing, because I am lost imagining what my child will look like in these. LOL. I think it is all soo awesome and great.

Here is another with cute hats, I am sure she can make them to fit baby and soo many cute hair accessories too.

Sheepsclothing

I love the hat that I have the photo up for, absolutely adorable. If I have a girl I just have to come back here.

I hope you had fun shopping with me today and I look forward to our shopping next week.

On the eighth day of Christmas, the EtsyKids Team gave to me...

Once you have found the image, send a conversation to Lizzypops with 'EtsyKids 12 Days of Christmas' in the subject line, and a link to the item where you found it by midnight (Eastern time) December 5th. All correct entries will be entered into a random drawing for a prize!

The slogan at ALaineDesigns is “Inspired by Arden, Made by Arden’s Mommy,“ and “Arden’s Mommy” is one talented lady! Jessica sells adorable onesies, toddler t-shirts, tins, and tote bags, and she combines her creative flair with excellent customer service.

Her clothing features charming designs and sayings, often riffing on familiar terms of endearment and combining it with a cute graphic. My favorite is the “You are My Sunshine” shirt. Probably because I love to sing that song to my own kids! Or how about this “Cutie Pie” shirt, featuring a picture of a piece of pie?

At ALaineDesigns you will find long-sleeved outfits, such as this union suit embellished with handprints. She has also recently listed some super-cute seasonal items for Halloween: black cats, jack o’lanterns, and ghosts!

Jessica at ALaineDesigns is another one of those wonderful Etsy sellers who generously donate to the Etsy Baby Shower. For my little girl, she sent her signature “Twosies Tin.” I simply love this idea: two nifty onesies that have been snazzily packaged in a reusable tin, perfect for gift-giving! She lets you choose whichever onesie designs you like best, which makes for a lovely touch.

AlaineDesigns also makes personalized tote bags and many of her clothing designs can be customized as well with a child’s name, such as this sweet nametag design: here. Jessica is very friendly and she welcomes custom designs. So don’t hesitate to contact “Arden’s Mommy” if you have a design you’d like her to make for the wee one(s) in your life!
